of Resort’s Impressive $10 Million Property-Wide Renovation

ST. AUGUSTINE, FL (November 2007) – The Renaissance Resort at World Golf Village, located within the lush 6,300-acre World Golf Village in St. Augustine, Florida, is offering a special “Stay & Play Package” in celebration of the near-completion of its extensive $10 million property-wide renovation. Through January 15, 2008, you can take advantage of this package, which includes a round of golf-for-two on its renowned King & Bear championship golf course, or its popular Slammer & Squire championship course. The package also includes accommodations, breakfast-for-two daily, and range balls, according to Mark Schwantner, general manager of the award-winning resort.

Golfers will have a tough time deciding which of the two courses to choose. King & Bear is the only course in the world designed jointly by Arnold Palmer (“The King”) and Jack “The Bear” Nicklaus. This picturesque 7,279-yard course features loblolly pines and open meadows on the front nine, impressive 200-year-old oak trees throughout the back nine, and lakes edged with large coquina rocks.

Slammer & Squire is named for legendary Hall of Famers “Slammin” Sam Snead and Gene “The Squire” Sarazen. They partnered with architect Bobby Weed to create this impressive par 72 tree-lined course which features gentle rolling fairways and challenging lakes. The 6,939-yard course is distinguished by memorable par 3’s, and for its preservation of the woodlands, wetlands and natural beauty of St. Augustine.

Many of the rooms are already complete. In addition, the renovation will include dramatic changes to the resort’s lobby atrium, enhancements to the main ballroom and meeting offerings, remodeling of the restaurant and bar, new lighting throughout the public spaces, remodeling of all guest room corridors, and even the addition of a new “signature scent.”

“We’re very excited about all of these changes, and know that golfers and vacationers will love our greatly enhanced resort,” said Schwantner.
