…Resort Is Nearing Completion Of A $10 Million Renovation

ST. AUGUSTINE, FL (March 2008) – The Renaissance Resort at World Golf Village in St. Augustine, Florida, is offering a new package called the “Florida Champions Golf Package." In addition to accommodations in a newly remodeled guest room, the package includes golf on the resort′s two championship courses, and tickets to the adjacent World Golf Hall of Fame, according to Mark Schwantner, general manager of the Northeast Florida resort.

The guest rooms were remodeled as part of a $10 million property-wide renovation of the resort, which is slated for completion by early May 2008. The project includes the complete remodeling of all 301 guest rooms and suites, dramatic changes to the resort’s lobby atrium and entry area, remodeling of all guest room corridors, new lighting throughout the public spaces, remodeling of its billiard room, enhancements to the meeting offerings and business center, and even the addition of a new “signature scent." The resort is also remodeling its restaurant and bar, which will open in April 2008 as a new restaurant and bar called 500 South, An American Grill.

The “Florida Champions Golf Package" includes: accommodations for two nights in a newly remodeled guest room; golf for two people on the resort’s renowned 7,279-yard King & Bear, the only course in the world designed jointly by Arnold Palmer (“The King") and Jack “The Bear" Nicklaus; and golf for two people on the resort’s Slammer & Squire championship course, named for Hall of Famers “Slammin’" Sam Snead and Gene “The Squire" Sarazen, and known for its gentle rolling fairways and challenging lakes. The package also includes two tickets to the impressive World Golf Hall of Fame, the ultimate destination for the celebration of golf’s greatest players, offering interactive exhibits and historic golf artifacts. Based on double occupancy, the “Florida Champions Golf Package" is from $555 per person from May 12-31, 2008; from $454 per person in June 2008; from $416 per person in July or August 2008; and from $436 per person in September 2008. The offer is based on space availability, and weekend or holiday surcharge rates may apply.

“We’re very excited about the completion of this multi-million dollar renovation, which touched virtually every aspect of our resort," said Schwantner, general manager of the award-winning resort, which is located within the lush 6,300-acre World Golf Village. “We’ve already been receiving wonderful compliments, and know that guests will just love our greatly enhanced resort."

Guest rooms and suites now feature all new furniture, soft goods, window treatments, and lighting. Guest rooms also boast new flat-panel screen LCD HDTV televisions, and the signature Marriott JackPack, which provides complete connectivity to the guests for laptops, MP3 players, digital cameras, and video game players. The new system also provides the option of listening to an MP3 player through the sound system.

The rooms and suites feature a contemporary design with an Asian feel, which includes rich red bed coverings with crisp white linens, along with a complementary color scheme of warm neutral gold. In-room offerings also include high-speed Internet access, two telephones with data ports, a wet bar and refrigerator, and in-room coffee.

Bathrooms in the guest rooms and suites feature all new vanities, lighting, and wallpaper in a more modern design, as well as new granite countertops. The wood vanities have been custom made, and offer a spa-like setting with niches for towels and other amenities.

All guest room corridors will feature new carpeting with different shades of green accented by bright reds, blues and gold. Walls will be covered in a rich, red wallcovering with gold accents, and new lighting illuminates the space.

The entry of the resort boasts beautiful new flooring, wood-wrapped columns, and accents of the Florida citrus colors. Guests now have the option to check-in at the front desk, or they may choose to check-in unassisted at the new kiosks positioned in the lobby.

The entry leads to a dramatically remodeled 10-story atrium lobby, which now has a Colonial/Asian theme with new furniture in hues of blue and green, new carpeting, new lighting, an enhanced waterfall and stream, and lush foliage (including bamboo) throughout to fit the Asian theme. Probably the most dramatic change to the atrium is the addition of a new 7-story modern hanging sculpture that captures the wind and air elements, reminiscent of open Florida skies.

In addition, the lobby will feature new conversational seating areas, which will also positioned near the resort’s bar. The bar was remodeled, and will feature a large center-standing TV, with new furniture in colors of vibrant red and orange with accents of bright green.

The new restaurant, named 500 South, is adjacent to the bar in the lobby and will boast a picturesque full-length wine wall, as well as colorful new furniture, warm wood tones and new lighting. The restaurant will specialize in New American Regional Cuisine, using the freshest ingredients in the region, and features a large wine and cocktail list.
