The Renaissance World Golf Village Resort Captures Prestigious AAA Four Diamond Rating. . . The Recently Enhanced Northeast Florida Resort Receives The Highly Coveted Rating For The 1st Time
ST. AUGUSTINE, FL (May 2011) – The Renaissance World Golf Village Resort and Convention Center in St. Augustine, Florida has received the American Automobile Association’s highly coveted AAA Four Diamond rating for 2011. This marks the first time the Northeast Florida resort has captured the honor, which is achieved by less than 4% of the approved properties. The 301-room resort completed a comprehensive $10 million resort-wide renovation in 2008, with additional resort enhancements and an even higher level of service implemented over the past year. Together with the adjacent World Golf Hall of Fame, The Renaissance World Golf Village Resort and Convention Center is the largest combination hotel and conference center between Atlanta and Orlando, with 86,000 square feet of meeting and event space. The resort is the only Northeast Florida resort and convention center to receive the prestigious AAA Four-Diamond rating.
To receive the AAA Four Diamond rating, a lodging establishment must consistently reflect upscale and extraordinary characteristics in both physical attributes and level of guest services. AAA Four Diamond properties typically offer an extensive array of amenities combined with a high degree of hospitality-minded service and attention to detail. To achieve the distinction, the AAA inspector determines that the property meets Four Diamond guidelines, and then the property is evaluated by an anonymous inspector who reviews the property in 12 critical service areas, which includes measurement of over 300 guest interaction points.
“We are truly pleased to be recognized with this very prestigious distinction,” said Jeffrey Oliasami, general manager of the resort. “The Renaissance World Golf Village Resort is now part of a very elite group of hotels to have earned this rating, and we’re very proud of our team for accomplishing this great feat.”
