Cape Kidnappers is one of the most beautiful modern golf courses that hosted the Kiwi Challenge in 2008-2009. Designed by legendary architect Tom Doak and opened in 2004, Cape Kidnappers is the perfect course for golf pros and novices alike. Everything is made for comfortable playing: a cozy club house, a specialized store and a restaurant. The course is located more than 120 meters above sea level, which makes the waves in Hawkes Bay look like ripples on a lake.

Caressed by the sea breeze and blessed with endless panoramas, Cape Kidnappers is another New Zealand project by Tom Doak, also listed as one of the best in the world. Unlike Tara Iti, the Cape Kidnappers course, built 12 years ago, is crowned by the North Island cliffs – playing is like floating in the clouds. Cape Kidnappers is often compared to Kauri Cliffs (both Robertson golf resorts), but it’s more perpendicular to the coastline, moving away from the cliffs inland. The landscape features slightly diminish the spectacle of the landscape, but contribute to cleaner play. Like Kauri Cliffs, Cape Kidnappers provides guests with accommodations in an elegant lodge.

The golf course has a total length of 6.5 km, par 71, and the number of holes is 18.
